Test Engineer (3rd Shift)

With limited supervision, you will be designing, developing, and maintaining test procedures, tester hardware, and software for electronic circuit board production. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional peers on projects involving various customers. Your role will involve reviewing circuit board designs for testability requirements and supporting manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, and reducing intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment.

• Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through to initial production.
• Generate reports and analysis of test data, and prepare documentation and recommendations.
• Regularly review test equipment designs, data, and RMA issues with customers.
• Design and lead engineering and technical personnel in the fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
• Direct and coordinate engineering activities related to development, procurement, installation, and calibration of instruments, equipment, and control devices.
• Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations.
• Direct and control operational, functional, and performance phases of tests.
• Perform moderately complex assignments of the engineering test function for standard and/or custom applications.
• Interpret test data and prepare technical reports for use by test engineering and management.
• Use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment.
• Perform semi-routine technique development and maintenance, adhering to established standards, including ISO and QS development standards.
• Provide training in new procedures to production testing staff.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

• Proficiency in test engineering, test plan, and test development.
• Experience in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and C#.
• Bachelor of Science in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a manufacturing-related industry.
• Experience in electronics and hardware testing.
• Ability to build and create test benches and understand schematics.

• Experience with scripting languages like Linux is a plus.
• Ability to understand and modify test scripts.
• Capability to solve random failures through interrogation of test logs, software, physical measurement, or visual identification.
• Project management skills.
• Contribute to the development of DOE and data gathering to resolve ongoing failure trends.

This position is within a contract manufacturing environment. You will be working on the 3rd shift, and collaboration with various departments and stakeholders is a significant aspect of the role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Memphis,TN.
