Job Title: Telemetry Unit Manager

Job Description

The Telemetry Unit Manager organizes and manages patient care functions on an ongoing basis, enhancing patient outcomes through effective management of human resources, staff education, and continuous process improvement. This role models excellence in quality care, customer satisfaction, and quality improvement, while interacting with medical staff informally and formally to improve patient outcomes. The Telemetry Unit Manager demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning patient care and is responsible for planning, directing, and providing nursing care in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, physician’s orders, nursing techniques, policies, procedures, established standards, and administrative policies.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage patient care functions on an ongoing basis.
• Enhance patient outcomes through management of human resources and staff education.
• Monitor processes for continuous improvement.
• Serve as a role model for excellence in quality care, customer satisfaction, and quality improvement.
• Interact with medical staff informally and formally to improve patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for patient care.
• Plan, direct, and provide nursing care to patients according to relevant standards and policies.

Essential Skills

• Experience in cardiac telemetry.
• FL RN or Compact Licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• ACLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a full-time charge nurse, Nursing Administrative Supervisor, or Nursing Management.

• Ability to serve as a role model for excellence in quality care and customer satisfaction.

Work Environment

The work environment is located at a 32-36 bed unit within HCA Northwest Hospital. Managers report to the Director of Nursing, and the unit has Clinical Nurse Coordinators to assist with leadership duties. This position requires working the night shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80121.60 - $111696.00/yr.

Salary : $80,122 - $111,696
