Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and patient-oriented Telehealth Medical Assistant Supervisor to oversee a Telehealth program project focused on assisting patients with hypertension. This is a fully remote position where you will play a crucial role in supervising Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) and ensuring exceptional service delivery in a telehealth environment.
Essential Skills
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT.
- 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically.
- Strong familiarity with EHR systems, Salesforce, Gmail, Slack, and operational tools.
- Confident handling minor technical troubleshooting and remote team oversight.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and ability to enforce compliance standards across remote staff.
- Highly organized with a focus on quality assurance, documentation standards, and call handling effectiveness.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a telehealth or remote healthcare setting is preferred.
- Experience with Athena EMR, Salesforce, Gmail, Slack, and related tools is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or higher preferred).
Work Environment
This is a 100% remote position, allowing CMAs to be located anywhere throughout the U.S., operating on Eastern Time Zone. Candidates must have a private enclosed office space in their home to ensure HIPAA privacy compliance. The position requires a commitment of 30-35 hours per week, with shifts available from Monday to Friday, either 8 am EST to 3 pm EST or 1 pm EST to 8 pm EST. No weekends or holidays are required. Enjoy 40 hours of PTO available after 30 days on contract and holiday pay for specific holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
