Job Title: Technical Writer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient Technical Writer with a Quality Assurance (QA) background to join our team. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for producing clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation while also contributing to the improvement of product quality through QA processes. Your dual expertise will bridge the gap between engineering, QA, and end-user documentation to ensure product accuracy, usability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation including SOPs, Work Instructions, Protocols, Deviations, Validations, and other internal process documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and sales to gather technical information and translate it into user-friendly content.
• Participate in QA activities such as test case review, manual testing, and validating documentation against product functionality.
• Ensure all documentation reflects the most up-to-date product behavior, functionality, and release cycles.
• Create and maintain test documentation (test plans, test cases, test scripts) as needed.
• Review product releases and new features for documentation needs and testing impact.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA and documentation processes, tools, and templates.
• Help ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in both documentation and QA procedures.

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a manufacturing environment.
• Background in Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear, accessible content.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word.
• Strong data management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity.

• Experience with SOPs, validation, and test cases.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes.

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, integrating both remote and on-site work in a dynamic manufacturing setting. Expect to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, and sales, using various documentation and QA tools to enhance product quality and regulatory compliance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Largo, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr.
