Job Description
The Systems Engineer will play a critical role in supporting ongoing product development and verification activities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in system verification and testing, a solid understanding of systems design and requirements management, and advanced expertise in the Jama Connect tool—including report automation, custom scripting, and workflow configuration. This role will work closely with system design, test, and design assurance teams to ensure requirements traceability, efficient verification planning, and high-quality documentation and reports to support regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide feedback to the design team and perform design verification and hands-on testing.
- Collaborate with system design, test, and design assurance teams to ensure efficient verification planning and high-quality documentation.
- Participate actively in dry runs, working with teams to understand requirements that need testing.
- Contribute to the creation of traceability to test cases and improvement of requirements management.
- Set up Jama Connect for next generation programs.
- Engage in hands-on experimental testing under tight timelines, which may require working longer hours.
Essential Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in the medical device field.
- Strong hands-on experience in system verification and testing.
- Solid understanding of systems design and requirements management.
- Advanced expertise in Jama Connect tool, including report automation, custom scripting, and workflow configuration.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in full-cycle systems design.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a systems engineering team consisting of system software verification and systems verification engineers.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Eden Prairie, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
