Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance in a secure environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows/Linux) and applications.
- Manage system backups, patching, and updates.
- Monitor system performance and availability.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Support RMF documentation and compliance efforts.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct forensic analysis.
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated technical issues.
- Collaborate with network engineers, ISSOs, and developers.
- Maintain system documentation and SOPs.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks.
- Optimize system configurations for performance and reliability.
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
- Ability to hold TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of experience in system administration within secure environments.
- Proven experience with container technologies, clustered storage, and configuration management tools.
This role is based onsite at a client location in Fort Meade, where you will be working in a secure, collaborative environment. The position involves interacting with network engineers, ISSOs, and developers to ensure systems are optimized and secure.

This is a Contract position based out of Odenton, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/hr.
