Survey CAD Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Draft high-quality Boundary, Topographic, and ALTA Surveys using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Support the Surveying team by creating detailed engineering and survey plan sets.
• Convert field notes into accurate CAD drawings with speed and precision.
• Collaborate across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and clarity in deliverables.
• Generate reports that translate complex survey data into actionable insights.

What You Bring

• Expertise in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Solid experience with topographic, ALTA, and boundary survey workflows.
• Strong grasp of surveying principles including plat subdivision, easements, and topography.
• 3–5 years of experience as a civil CAD drafter, ideally in land development or transportation.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in CAD preferred.
• Civil 3D experience welcomed if MicroStation is not available.
• Interest in expanding into other divisions or deepening surveying expertise.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced and project-rich: manage 2–5 active projects at a time.
• 100% CAD drafting from your own workstation—initially on a company desktop, later upgraded to a laptop.
• Flexible work arrangements: earn one remote day per week (Monday or Friday).
• Join a team of 20 survey professionals, including 4 licensed surveyors.
• Business casual dress code and ongoing training opportunities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of ROSEMONT, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $38.00/hr.
