Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Support Engineer to join our team, responsible for establishing and maintaining systems to track machine maintenance and inventory of repair parts. This role involves providing regular updates on maintenance activities, improving help-desk availability, and participating in equipment installation and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
- Establish a Scheduled Maintenance System to track and report on machine maintenance.
- Develop a system for maintaining an inventory of repair parts, wear items, and machine parts to minimize downtime during maintenance or repair.
- Provide regular reports and updates on maintenance and repair activities to the engineering manager.
- Work on continuous improvement of immediate response and help-desk availability to minimize unscheduled machine downtime.
- Direct and participate in the installation of new equipment.
- Schedule, supervise, and participate in both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities.
- Review existing maintenance procedures for improvements and update or create new procedures as necessary.
- Participate in the Engineering Group’s continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Function as a technical resource in manufacturing and process issues, providing help-desk support to Manufacturing and Documentation groups.
- Plan assigned projects and manage project constraints, including budgetary time and material costs.
Essential Skills
- Experience with SMT, electronics, PCBA, troubleshooting, electrical programming.
- Bachelor's or AAS in Electronics, Engineering, or similar field OR 5 years of experience in a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience with higher education OR 5 years with SMT, MyData, or Fuji machines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical expertise in manufacturing and process issues.
- Ability to manage project constraints effectively.
Work Environment
The role requires onsite reporting to the Engineering Manager in a very fast-paced, high-mix type of environment. You will work alongside one other individual who is retiring.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
