Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer
Job DescriptionThe Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that quality requirements for procured parts such as PCBs, PCBA's, and wire harnesses, as well as services and processes, are met. Acting as a liaison between internal customers and suppliers, this role translates technical requirements into clear specifications that suppliers can achieve.
Responsibilities
- Ensure quality requirements for procured parts and services are met.
- Serve as a liaison between internal customers and suppliers.
- Translate technical requirements into clear and achievable specifications for suppliers.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
- Work with suppliers on quality assurance using methodologies such as PPAP, APQP, RCCA's, and PFMEA.
- Address nonconformances and conduct site visits to customer locations, requiring 30% domestic travel within California.
Essential Skills
- 3-5 years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer.
- Proficiency in quality engineering and supplier quality.
- Experience with root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with PCBs and PCBA's.
- Experience in quality assurance and corrective action plans.
- Knowledge of standards such as AS9100.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with PPAP, APQP, RCCA's, and PFMEA.
- Electrical background preferred; mechanical background acceptable.
- Aerospace background preferred; automotive experience acceptable.
Work Environment
This role is set in a fast-paced environment, offering great experience with a leading company in the South Bay. The position requires approximately 30% domestic travel within California to visit customer sites.

This is a Contract position based out of NA, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $145000.00/hr.
