Job Title: Structural Engineer

Job Description

The Structural Engineer will lead the design and development of proprietary ballistic wall systems engineered for blast resistance, ballistic protection, and structural integrity. This role encompasses the entire design lifecycle—from concept to final submittals and field support—and requires close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design precast panels and structural components.
• Prepare technical documentation to support design and development.
• Support manufacturing and installation processes.
• Ensure compliance with rigorous performance standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to deliver high-performance infrastructure systems.

Essential Skills

• Must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5 years of experience in structural design, especially reinforced and/or precast systems.
• Proficient in structural analysis software such as RISA and SAP2000.
• Skilled in drafting tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Revit.
• Knowledgeable about IBC, ACI, and ASTM standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with ballistic/blast-resistant design.
• Experience in utility or defense sector projects.
• Familiarity with precast manufacturing and transport.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Familiarity with physical security design.
• Ability to travel to manufacturing facilities and project sites across the U.S.

Work Environment

The position is office-based and full-time, within the Engineering Department, reporting to the Director of Operations and Quality Assurance. The role involves significant collaboration with internal teams and external clients, and requires travel for site visits and manufacturing support across the U.S.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
