Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to work collaboratively with our engineering team, developing design solutions that meet the context, budget, and aesthetic demands of building projects. The ideal candidate will analyze and understand design intent to produce efficient and effective technical design solutions. This role involves coordinating with other professional disciplines and managing the design process through all project phases, utilizing a strong understanding of building engineering systems, materials, codes, and construction technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design structural components of the overall building, integrating architectural design while adhering to applicable design codes and jurisdictional requirements.
• Evaluate engineering design requirements and create construction drawings for new construction projects, as well as modifications to existing buildings.
• Perform engineering activities such as calculations, code research, material and building systems research, and layout of structural building components.
• Conduct site visits during new construction projects and evaluate existing building conditions for proposed structural modifications.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during the construction administration phase of the project.

Essential Skills

• 7-10 years of project work experience.
• Experience in structural engineering building systems.
• Proficiency in engineering software, including AutoCAD and Revit, as well as structural engineering systems design software.
• Strong engineering knowledge related to building structural systems and various building types.
• Familiarity with architectural design concepts and building codes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient in structural design, structural analysis, and building design.
• Experience with drafting and Revit is beneficial.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a collaborative engineering team environment, utilizing cutting-edge engineering software and technologies. Typical work hours align with standard office hours, with occasional site visits required. The work setting fosters creativity and innovation, with a focus on professional growth and development.

This is a Permanent position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $1250000.00/yr.

This is a hybrid position in Philadelphia,PA.
