Job Title: CAD Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join an established engineering firm in Florida. The role involves supporting a diverse array of projects and contributing to design efforts from initial programming through to the development of Construction Documents.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain technical drawings and construction documents for residential renovation projects, including home additions, remodels, and structural alterations.
• Support civil, structural, and architectural design efforts across multiple project types.
• Apply the Florida Building Code to design and documentation efforts.
• Ensure all drawings and deliverables comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
• Incorporate revisions and design changes based on internal reviews, client feedback, and agency comments.
• Coordinate with project teams to support timely and accurate project delivery.
• Manage multiple assignments concurrently while meeting established schedules and quality expectations.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience in construction document development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of structural elements and connections.
• Experience with permitting and building departments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Revit, BIM, SketchUp.
• Familiarity with agency comment resolution for permit approval.
• Experience in civil, structural, and architectural design.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Drafting degree preferred; demonstrated capability and experience may substitute for formal education.

Work Environment

The position is office-based and full-time, located in Royal Palm Beach, FL. The role reports to the Director of Operations and Quality Assurance within a collaborative team setting where project ownership is encouraged. This is a Permanent position based out of West Palm Beach, FL.

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $56160.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in West Palm Beach,FL.
