Job Title: Structural BIM Specialist
Job Description
The role involves working within the Civil/Structural discipline with minimal guidance from engineers or other technical professionals. You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and managing the Civil/Structural model and generating 3D design elements based on the Level of Development outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan and project scope. Mastery of Civil Site and Structural design disciplines and their interaction with other design disciplines is essential.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain the Civil/Structural and multi-disciplinary model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output.
- Model 3D elements accurately within spatial constraints using the latest 3D software.
- Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams within the project scope, schedule, and budget using current 3D software.
- Maintain the discipline model, including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, and scope boundaries.
- Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.
- Monitor, improve, and maintain company standards and model health.
- Coordinate design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and 3D Coordination processes.
- Execute all Design Delivery requirements identified on the project.
- Mentor and develop Digital Design staff within the Civil/Structural discipline.
- Contribute to the development of business class digital needs.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in BIM, Revit, and Structural design.
- 10 years of relevant experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Familiarity with Bentley products is a plus.
- Demonstrated desire to learn new software.
Work Environment
The work environment involves using advanced 3D software for modeling and design. The role includes mentoring and developing staff, engaging in design reviews, and coordinating with various disciplines. The focus is on maintaining high standards and ensuring accurate digital delivery.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brentwood, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
