Specimen Packaing Technician

This role involves sorting, racking, registering, labeling, and storing specimens. It also includes data entry and miscellaneous tasks assigned by leadership related to the accession of frozen samples.

Responsibilities

• Sort and rack specimens accurately.
• Register and label specimens for proper identification.
• Store specimens in designated areas following protocol.
• Perform data entry tasks with precision.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as delegated by leadership.

• High School diploma is required.
• Experience with computers and data entry is essential.
• Attention to detail and strong typing skills are a must.

• Experience with specimen collection and registration is beneficial.

The work environment includes a dress code where nails must not protrude through latex gloves for safety reasons. Employees can wear t-shirts with non-offensive writing, covered by a lab coat while in the lab. Long pants without tears or exposed ankles are required; sweat pants are not allowed, and yoga pants and leggings may soon be banned. Shoes must cover all skin, with no open toes or flip-flops allowed. The company offers a full gym, cafeteria, and hosts team-building activities like food trucks and sundaes. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lancaster, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $20.70/hr.
