Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Specimen Accessioner to join our diagnostic laboratory team! This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and proper handling of biological samples in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming lab samples for damage or leakage
• Accurately label and organize samples
• Place samples in designated refrigeration areas
• Handle specimens with professionalism and care
• Maintain consistent workflow while standing throughout the shift

Required Skills & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Comfortable working with bodily fluids
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
• Experience with automation and lab machinery preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage repetitive tasks efficiently
• Familiarity with sample preparation, data entry, and lab processing techniques

Preferred Skills:

• Production and medical sample processing
• Data entry and sample management
• Knowledge of laboratory practices such as pipetting, aliquoting, and accessioning

Work Environment:

Candidates must be comfortable in a clinical laboratory setting handling high volumes of samples.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.

The pay range for this position is $20.06 - $20.06/hr.
