Job Description

Join our Consumer Health Research Development team focused on the development of over-the-counter drug products in categories such as Allergy, Cough & Cold, Pain, and Cardio. As a Sr Scientist in Analytical Development, you will perform extensive laboratory work to support formulation development, technology transfer activities, clinical trials, and evaluation of product performance and stability. You will manage projects with minimal supervision to ensure timely and accurate completion of tests, and effectively communicate analytical findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive laboratory work to support pre-formulation, formulation development, technology transfer activities, clinical trials, and evaluation of product performance and stability.
• Conduct analytical method development, validation, and transfer.
• Accurately document experiments and results in notebooks, ELN, and LIMS if required.
• Manage projects with minimal supervision to ensure timely and accurate completion of tests.
• Effectively communicate analytical activities and findings to all stakeholders.
• Follow SOPs/OIs and analytical laboratory practices to ensure work quality and compliance.
• Write analytical methods, specifications, method validation reports, experimental reports, and SOPs/OIs.
• Perform GMP comprehensive review of analytical activities, including method development, validation, transfer, testing of analytical product development batches, process optimization batches, stability submission batches, and instrument technical records.
• Interact with analysts on data review to recommend appropriate corrections, modifications, or improvements needed for consistent documentation practice.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Science or international equivalent with 7 years of proven Pharmaceutical Analytical Laboratory experience.
• Master's degree or higher in Science or international equivalent with 5 years of proven Pharmaceutical Analytical Laboratory experience.
• QC or RD experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Hands-on experience with Waters Agilent HPLC / UPLC and dissolution apparatus USP Type 1 and 2.
• Understanding of fundamental analytical chemistry and chromatography.
• Ability to troubleshoot testing and/or analytical method-related issues.
• Understanding and adherence to GMP / SOP requirements.
• Familiarity with analytical laboratory documentation practices.
• Expertise in Waters Empower3 CDS.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and ability to work as a collaborative team player.
• Practical knowledge and experience with analytical method development and validation activities.

Work Environment

The position is based in a GMP environment, requiring adherence to strict guidelines and standards.

This is a Contract position based out of Morristown, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Morristown,NJ.
