Job Title: Laboratory Assistant in Cosmetic and Personal Care Formulation

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing prototype samples of cosmetics and personal care formulas.
• Conduct and record analytical measurements such as pH and viscosity for stability programs.
• Perform general laboratory maintenance, including ordering materials, cleaning glassware, and organizing deliveries.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other related sciences.
• Proficiency in chemistry, material science, titration, and wet chemistry techniques.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong time management, flexibility, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in a lab environment is a plus.
• Comfortability with working with hot temperatures and in kilo scale.
• Proactive, highly enthusiastic, and energetic.

Work Environment

The role is based in a coatings lab under the guidance of a Sr Chemist, within a building that houses several specialized labs for Research & Development and Quality. You will be working alongside a small team of three people in a collaborative and engaging setting.

This is a Contract position based out of East Windsor, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
