Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to execute experiments that aim to understand the compound mechanism of action at a molecular level. This role will support discovery and translational efforts for new drug candidates and includes the use of genomic and molecular methodologies such as dPCR, NGS, RNAseq, and cell culture.

• Execute experiments aimed at understanding compound mechanism of action at a molecular level.
• Support discovery and translational efforts for new drug candidates using genomic and molecular methodologies.
• Identify and deploy existing methods and kits to address research questions.
• Assist with research studies conducted by external contract research organizations to expand access to technologies, samples, and relevant models.
• Develop, review, and analyze experimental reports, summaries, presentations, and protocols.
• Participate in the identification and evaluation of new technologies and experimental techniques for potential incorporation into drug discovery and evaluation programs.
• Actively collaborate with other scientists to fully exploit ongoing studies across groups.

• Experience with cell line, mammalian cells, in vitro assays, and drug discovery.
• Proficiency in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and cell culture.
• Strong skills in digital or droplet digital PCR (dPCR).
• Flexibility to balance multiple projects and demonstrate prior experience in doing so.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.
• 4-7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques and tissue culture.
• Proficient in using R Suite, graphics software (such as Spotfire), and MS Office Suite.
• Experience with transient transfection and an understanding of biology, genes, and drug development.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranbury, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
