Job Description
We are seeking a Sample Control Technician to join our team. The role involves receiving, unpacking, and labeling samples, scanning documents, and preparing samples in the lab as needed. You will assist Analytical Services Managers with sample group setup, bottle orders, and login review, manage subcontracted work to outside labs, and perform sample disposal and waste management duties. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring all sample acceptability criteria are met and logging samples into our LIMS system.
Responsibilities
- Receive and unpack samples, label containers, and scan documents.
- Assist with sample group setup, bottle orders, and login review.
- Perform sample disposal, waste accumulation, and related waste disposal duties.
- Manage subcontracted work to outside labs.
- Perform routine duties throughout the laboratory.
- Pour off bottled water samples into appropriate bottles for analysis.
- Triage samples to ensure acceptability criteria are met, including temperature requirements.
- Login samples into the LIMS system.
Essential Skills
- Experience with GMP, Lab Tech, Laboratory procedures.
- Proficiency in Sample prep, LIMS, Data Entry, and Sample Control.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; Bachelor's in Science preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Lab setting experience preferred.
- Experience with sample prep/log preferred.
Work Environment
You will work in a laboratory environment with a team of 10 or more professionals. The role involves testing bottled water, ensuring a clean and orderly environment. The schedule offers two shifts: Monday-Friday from 6am-3pm or Monday-Friday from 10am-7pm. The dress code is business casual with closed-toe shoes.

This is a Contract position based out of Pomona, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
