About the Role

Join our team as a Safety Specialist and play a critical role in creating and maintaining a safe work environment for cutting-edge construction projects. You’ll design and implement comprehensive safety programs that meet OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical industry standards, ensuring compliance and protecting our workforce. Key Responsibilities

• Develop & Implement Safety Programs: Create site-specific safety plans aligned with OSHA, FDA, and pharmaceutical standards.
• Risk Assessment: Identify hazards related to chemical handling, cleanroom construction, and specialized equipment installation.
• Compliance Monitoring: Ensure contractors and subcontractors follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Site Inspections: Conduct regular audits of construction areas to identify unsafe practices or environmental risks.
• Incident Investigation: Lead root-cause analyses for accidents, near-misses, and violations; recommend corrective actions.
• Training & Education: Deliver engaging safety training on hazardous materials, confined spaces, and emergency response.
• Documentation Management: Maintain accurate records of audits, permits, incident reports, and compliance certifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and QA teams to integrate safety into all phases of construction.

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management, electrical systems, and commercial construction.
• Ability to forecast and manage financials related to safety measures.
• OSHA 30 certification required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience as a Safety Specialist in construction.
• Experience with commercial construction and estimation is a plus.

Work Environment

• Initial training and onboarding in Menomonee Falls, WI for the first month.
• Transition to Microsoft Data Center in Mt. Pleasant, WI for on-site safety oversight.
• Collaborative environment with construction teams on high-tech projects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $40.86/hr.
