Safety Coordinator

We are seeking dedicated Safety Coordinators to join our team, with a specific focus on supporting data center projects in Cheyenne, Wyoming. As a Senior Safety Coordinator, you will play a vital role in assisting the Project Manager and Division Safety Manager in enforcing and regulating all safety procedures. Your efforts will ensure compliance with safety requirements across various field sites and facilities by managing and coordinating division safety activities.

Responsibilities

• Tour and inspect small to mid-size job sites to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
• Report safety concerns to management and ensure enforcement of OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Document safety inspections, identify dangerous areas/procedures, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure cited safety issues are addressed within designated timeframes.
• Maintain all site-required documentation related to safety issues, including accident reports, inspection reports, and training logs.
• Use safety data to track trends and injury rates, and develop loss control strategies to prevent future incidents.
• Provide emergency response to employees as needed.
• Participate in and document accident and injury investigations, submitting data to regulatory agencies as required.
• Contribute to the development of training materials and facilitate employee training sessions.
• Train less-experienced safety employees as necessary.
• Participate in ad-hoc safety projects and attend owner and client meetings.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction safety, including employee training experience.
• Certifications in CPR and First Aid.
• Completion of OSHA 10hr, OSHA 30hr, and OSHA 40hr training.
• Possession of OSHA 500, CHST, or ASP certifications.
• Strong working knowledge of health and safety management systems and OSHA CFR 1926 standards.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient problem-solving, customer-service, and organizational skills.
• Effective project management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ability to access OSHA information online.
• Thorough understanding of safety operating processes and procedures.
• Ability to lead employees effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental Applied Sciences or related discipline preferred.
• Experience in safety management is preferred.

The position is based onsite at a data center project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Employees are provided with necessary tools such as phone and laptop. Work shifts may alternate between four 10-hour days and five 10-hour days. Relocation assistance and a potential sign-on bonus are available. The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
