Job Description
Join a dynamic team responsible for conducting research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support innovative projects. Utilize your technical expertise and discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of experiments that contribute to strategic project goals. Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses. Present and discuss experimental results within the department and project teams. Maintain professional expertise through familiarity with scientific literature and participation in conferences and professional societies. Adhere to company policies and procedures for GMP, GLP, and Design Control.
Responsibilities
- Design a wide range of experimental protocols.
- Execute bench experiments, making detailed and general observations and analyzing data.
- Prepare technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses.
- Maintain complete and accurate records.
- Identify and implement improvements to work processes and laboratory environment.
- Recognize and document activities for publication and/or patent potential.
- Work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies to obtain results.
- Participate in cross-functional technical teams.
- Contribute productively as a project team member, suggesting creative solutions to problems.
- Establish interfaces across other organizational groups.
- Train others in areas of expertise.
- Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective action.
- Prepare and present experimental procedures and results to group and project teams.
- Monitor work to ensure quality and promote Quality First Time.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in science.
- 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in a wide range of experimental techniques and their applications.
- Capable of searching scientific literature for information.
- Skilled in using word processing, spreadsheets, graphical, and presentation software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong collaboration and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Solid grasp of scientific principles, pathology, and development processes.
- Hands-on wet lab skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
Work Environment
Work onsite at the Oro Valley site, surrounded by the beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains and Sonoran Desert, offering scenic views and a sunny climate. The site is part of the Diagnostics division, focused on assay development, reagent production, and molecular diagnostics. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
