Job Description
This role involves the sorting, racking, registering, labeling, and storing of specimens, along with data entry tasks. The position includes miscellaneous tasks delegated by leadership related to the accession of frozen samples.
Responsibilities
- Sort and rack specimens accurately.
- Register and label specimens as per protocols.
- Store specimens in designated areas.
- Perform data entry with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Ensure the accession of frozen samples is conducted efficiently.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in data entry and typing.
- Experience with computer systems.
- Attention to detail in all tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in specimen collection and registration is advantageous.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The environment includes a full gym, cafeteria, and engaging team-building activities such as food trucks and sundae days. The company encourages internal promotions across various departments. Dress code requires that nails do not protrude through latex gloves, tee shirts may have non-offensive writing, long pants without tears must be worn, and shoes must cover the entire foot. Open-toed shoes and flip-flops are not allowed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.80/hr.
