Job Description
This role is for a Quality Specialist within the Aerospace and Defense sector, located in Atlanta, GA. The position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 1 year of experience in a low volume manufacturing environment. The primary responsibilities include assisting with audits to ensure conformance to industry standards, maintaining the FOD program, and managing the shelf life and workstation audit programs. This is a first shift position, operating 100% onsite from Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
- Assist with audits to ensure conformance to industry requirements and standards.
- Maintain the FOD program, ensuring regular check-ins and audits to prevent the presence of FOD within the production environment.
- Manage the shelf life program and workstation audit program.
- Apply working knowledge of FOD in a production environment.
- Utilize experience in a 5S/6S Lean Manufacturing Environment.
- Report on audit findings in detail.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent training.
- 1 years of experience in a low volume manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of FOD and shelf life management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Investigative mindset with a detail-oriented focus.
- Ability to identify individual issues in a process.
- Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality standards.
- Experience with AS9146 or equivalent FOD standards.
- Certification as an AS9100/AS6500 aerospace auditor or lead auditor certification.
- Experience with the RCCA process.
- Experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Experience with revision control of documents and/or parts.
- Working knowledge of ERP and PLM tools, such as Oracle and Teamcenter.
The role operates Monday through Friday on the first shift, 100% onsite. Employees are provided with their own workstation, computer, and badge. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
