Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Quality Engineer to assess and ensure that our processes meet the highest quality and reliability standards for finished products. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing quality plans for new customers, products, and technologies, ensuring consistent delivery of goods that meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to assess whether current processes meet quality and reliability standards for finished products.
• Assist in creating and implementing quality plans and processes for new customers, products, and technologies.
• Establish and maintain quality assurance objectives aligned with production procedures to maximize product quality and minimize costs.
• Support production, inspection, and testing teams to ensure consistent delivery of goods that meet customer requirements.
• Organize and promote training activities related to product quality and reliability.
• Investigate customer complaints, implement corrective and preventive actions, and ensure timely resolution.
• Promote awareness and compliance with all customer requirements across the organization.
• Compile and analyze data to generate reports, metrics, and KPIs for management and customers.

Essential Skills

• Strong root cause analysis methodology and capability to implement permanent corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Technical understanding of EMS processes for effective collaboration on investigations and process improvements.
• Proven ability to act as a change agent, influencing and driving quality improvements.
• Authority to prevent non-conformities and recommend solutions through proper channels.
• Expertise in monitoring and verifying CAPA implementation for internal and external non-conformances.
• Comprehensive knowledge of IPC standards and J-STD guidelines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience in Electronic Contract Manufacturing of PCBAs
• Experience in aerospace quality standards and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Costa Mesa, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
