Job Title: Quality Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to perform quality-related activities associated with the nonconforming material control process. This role includes conducting Root Cause Analysis, advanced quality planning processes such as First Article Inspections, FMEAs, and PPAPs, and driving Continuous Improvement. The position offers flexible working hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with the potential for a permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality-related activities associated with the nonconforming material control process.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis.
- Execute advanced quality planning processes, including First Article Inspections, FMEAs, and PPAPs.
- Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with customers and suppliers regarding audits as needed.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in quality engineering and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of quality control, audit processes, and PPAP.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- For QE Level 1: Associate degree and 3 years of quality engineering experience required.
- For QE Level 2: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of quality management systems experience required.
- Experience in quality, engineering, machine shop, assembly, or functional testing is preferred.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems, including document management, audits, nonconforming material control, and corrective action processes, is preferred.
- Solid computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, are required.
- Knowledge of MS Project and Visio is a plus.
- Green Belt certification (or equivalent CI/RCCA certification) preferred.
- Lead auditor certification preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment includes working hours from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with some flexibility. This role offers a good chance of leading to a permanent position, and you will engage with both customers and suppliers regarding audits as needed. The position requires proficiency in various software tools, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with additional knowledge of MS Project and Visio being a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
