QA Technician

Support the QA and other Production Departments by implementing and monitoring procedures and processes to ensure compliance with food safety programs and regulatory and customer requirements.

• Ensure compliance with food safety programs and verify standards are met or exceeded.
• Monitor HACCP CCPs, complete production paperwork, perform daily thermometer and scale calibrations, and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and organized.
• Perform regular product testing, including daily reviews, final product temperature checks, net weights, new item shelf-life assessments, visual inspections, and listeria monitoring swabs.
• Participate in employee training on GMP, HACCP, Allergen Control, Food Safety, and SQF.
• Write and follow up on corrective actions for deviations, discrepancies, sanitation failures, and customer or regulatory requirements.
• Verify incoming ingredient documentation in accordance with SQF requirements, track non-conforming ingredients, and organize QA records for customers and retained samples.
• Support the Sanitation Department by performing daily pre-operational sanitation inspections using APC, ATP, and environmental swabs, and conducting Operational Sanitation inspections twice a day.
• Identify quality and food safety risks, assist with solutions, and promote proper handling and storage practices.

• Quality assurance expertise

• Advanced knowledge in HACCP plans
• Ability to train employees and provide feedback
• Proficiency in using computer programs and entering accurate data
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment around moving equipment

• High School Diploma with 3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or BS in Life Science or Food Science with 1 year of relevant experience in food manufacturing
• Experience with a food manufacturer and food safety knowledge
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (34-38 degrees)
• Capability to lift 25 to 50 pounds

Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment around moving equipment, primarily in a refrigerated setting with temperatures ranging from 34-38 degrees. The role requires the ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds.

This is a Contract position based out of Schwenksville, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Schwenksville,PA.
