Job Description
The formal job title for this position is NIGHTS Batching QA/QC Compliance Technician. This role is integral to providing verification and administrative support in the Batching areas to meet compliance requirements efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Verify the completeness and accuracy of all batching kits prior to shipping to the main plant.
- Assist with inventory accuracy for internal and customer needs.
- Coordinate, monitor, and test all vendors to ensure they meet quality and compliance expectations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing to design and enhance quality management systems for regulatory compliance.
- Support the Batching Compliance Analyst Lead as a liaison for compliance issues.
- Verify ingredient quantities during the kit stage in the DC batching area.
- Conduct organoleptic analysis of all supplied ingredients.
- Report any non-conformance and waste or poor conservation practices.
- Know all quality standards and expectations of the position.
- Continuously seek improved practices and processes and contribute ideas to the immediate supervisor.
- Understand and follow all safety requirements and procedures established by the company.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or required by the supervisor or customer.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and quality control processes.
- Ability to conduct line checks, line inspections, and manage batching kits.
- Strong math skills and compliance knowledge.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and batching compliance.
- Skill in organoleptic analysis and managing non-conformance issues.
- Familiarity with SAP or other inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of GMP and HACCP regulations.
- Accurate record-keeping abilities in laboratory settings.
- Background in Biology or Chemistry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems.
- Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Chemistry.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a quality or manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
The work environment is a fast-paced manufacturing setting with varying physical demands, including extended standing and walking on occasionally slippery floors. The position primarily operates in an office setting but may require time in production or warehouse areas. Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions, including heat and cold. The environment can be loud, requiring hearing protection. Employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry on the production floor. Alcohol is an ingredient in products produced, and working around alcohol cannot be guaranteed. The night shift operates from 5:45 pm to 6:00 am on a rotating schedule, typically 2 days on, 2 days off, then a 3-day rotating weekend.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
