Job Description
This role involves providing support to the Office Manager with various administrative, supply chain, and operational tasks. The position requires handling essential functions such as obtaining quotes, managing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate product and inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and evaluate quotes for purchasing decisions.
- Create and manage purchase orders efficiently.
- Search and update product and inventory levels.
- Issue pricing updates and manage contract details.
- Provide administrative support to the supply chain operations.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Background in manufacturing and supply chain operations.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP systems and procurement processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Skills in vendor management, customer service, and inventory control.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and reporting.
Work Environment
The position is based in a clean machine shop environment. The company offers the opportunity to join a growing family-owned business with a strong customer base. The company focuses on custom design, repair, retrofit, and maintenance of welding equipment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tolland, CT.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
