What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer position at Actalent?
Manage the scope, deliverables, schedule, budget, and quality of engineering projects related to cGMP process equipment. Coordinate capital construction activities, ensuring all phases of construction projects are completed within specifications and with minimal interruption to production. Inspect and assist in all aspects of construction, prepare and present project status reports, manage the design, site acceptance, and installation of equipment, and prepare drawings and documents related to projects.
Responsibilities- Manage scope, deliverables, schedule, budget, and quality of engineering projects.
- Coordinate capital construction activities including renovations, inspections, and meetings.
- Ensure all construction project phases are completed within specifications.
- Inspect and assist in all aspects of construction.
- Prepare and present project status reports.
- Manage design, site acceptance, and installation of equipment.
- Prepare drawings and documents related to projects.
- Support QA/validations through preparation of design documents and protocol review.
- Recommend and manage implementation of corrective/preventative actions for existing equipment and processes.
- Evaluate, approve, prepare, and execute change control documentation.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert during regulatory inspections.
- Support manufacturing and maintenance activities as a technical advisor.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by enforcing SHE policies and procedures.
- Enforce compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to maintain company reputation.
- Proficiency in project management within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with CapEx projects and validation protocols.
- Skills in equipment design, installation, validation, and procurement.
- Experience in project engineering and coordination.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed conclusions.
- Strong team collaboration skills across departments and sites.
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in pharmaceutical engineering preferred.
- Formal training in project management preferred.
- 5 years of pharmaceutical project experience or equivalent education and experience.
The role is based in a standard pharmaceutical facility with three buildings on the same block, handling engineering, production, and manufacturing. It requires walking between the three buildings, which are a two-minute walk apart. The facilities include clean room environments, all meeting FDA production standards.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $140000.00/yr.
