Project Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in civil construction and site development. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent, supporting field operations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist the estimating department and collaborate with clients to ensure the successful execution of infrastructure and site civil projects.

• Assist the superintendent with managing field operations.
• Collaborate with field supervisors and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.
• Support project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Track project costs and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Maintain accurate project records and reports.
• Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Internship or co-op experience in construction or engineering preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with AutoCAD or construction management software is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palmetto, FL.

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $43.27/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Palmetto,FL.
