Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our dedicated team. This position offers a remarkable opportunity for growth within a stable company that has been operational since 1952. The role involves comprehensive planning, communication, and management of construction projects, with a focus on quality and safety. You will be essential in supporting project execution from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

• Attend meetings with clients and contractors to ensure effective communication.
• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of the field labor force.
• Review and become familiar with the project budget and general conditions estimate.
• Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications alongside the Project Manager.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with the Project Manager, clients, and contractors.
• Conduct quality and safety inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.
• Communicate and enforce the Safety and Health Management Program.
• Manage project schedules, including preparing look-ahead schedules to ensure timely completion of activities.
• Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports documenting project progress.
• Participate in project meetings, including subcontractor and foreman’s meetings.
• Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in industrial or large-scale commercial interior construction.
• Experience with construction management software such as Procore.
• Proven ability to handle RFIs and Change Orders independently.
• Trades experience in MEP, Carpentry, or Masonry.
• Proficient in project management and commercial construction.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with industrial projects such as Amazon Warehouses is beneficial.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment

This role is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Initially, you will work in an office setting before transitioning to the project site in Baltimore. The position offers full compensation for lodging, per diem expenses, and provides a company vehicle for all travel. You will be part of a small, close-knit team of 10, contributing to a family-owned company with projects backed up until 2026.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
