Responsibilities
- Apply extensive knowledge of engineering and scientific principles in civil engineering.
- Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
- Work independently on engineering problems, plan and coordinate work, and represent the company at meetings and conferences.
- Conduct fieldwork in varied terrains and weather, including surveys, data gathering, and inspections.
- Perform office-based tasks such as CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report writing, and creating site plans.
- Engage in business development activities, including proposal preparation and attending industry conferences.
- Receive technical guidance on complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed projects.
- Experience with stormwater design and permitting.
- Proficiency in civil engineering, drafting, and land development.
- Skilled in using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Understanding of construction documents, volume calculations, site grading, and drainage.
- Competency in MS Office and environmental consulting software.
- Florida P.E. registration in civil engineering or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geotechnical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in land development or solid waste industry.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
