Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team for 20 hours per week over a period of approximately 4 months. The primary focus will be on managing the order process for manufacturing materials. This role involves ensuring the timely delivery of critical materials and components through effective order management.
Responsibilities
- Manage open purchase orders to guarantee the timely delivery of essential materials and components.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to obtain updates on order status, resolve any delivery issues, and expedite shipments when necessary.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing, to prioritize orders based on project schedules.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the procurement tracking system.
- Identify and proactively address potential supply risks or bottlenecks.
- 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Familiarity with procurement systems and/or ERP systems.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with and understanding of buyer processes.
- Experience in open order management.
- Proficiency in calling and communicating with suppliers.
The role involves collaborating with various internal teams and requires effective communication with suppliers. The work is conducted in a fast-paced environment, utilizing procurement tracking and ERP systems. The position is part-time, with a commitment of 20 hours per week.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Denver, Colorado.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
