Job Title: Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to recommend and implement improvements to design processes, methods, and controls. This role involves quoting for new product RFQ's, planning and establishing engineering schedules, and coordinating manufacturing launches for new or revised products. The successful candidate will design, develop, test, and source various tools, machinery, and equipment, perform product/process analysis for cost reduction and quality improvement, and approve process specification and design standards.

Responsibilities

• Recommend and implement improvements to design processes, methods, and controls.
• Provide quotations for new product RFQ's.
• Plan and establish engineering schedules and follow up on performance against estimates.
• Coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products.
• Design, develop, test, and source various tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Establish goals, train team members, and evaluate results for new/revised product launches.
• Take a project from concept to production.
• Approve process specification and design standards.
• Create and edit CNC programs.
• Make timely and informed decisions that consider the facts, goals, constraints, and risks.

Essential Skills

• 5 years' experience in CNC machining, programming, and a solid understanding of machining methods.
• Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
• Three or more years of engineering experience in a fast-paced, continuous improvement, production environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, such as Epicor.
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, work holding design, and inspection methods.
• Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and CAM Simulation Software.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing certification.

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate controlled warehouse.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Daytona Beach, FL.

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Daytona Beach,FL.
