We’re seeking a Power Systems Engineer II to take a lead role within a defined territory, delivering end-to-end electrical power solutions across industrial, healthcare, data center, and infrastructure environments. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on fieldwork with advanced analysis and design, while working directly with clients to solve complex power challenges.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary power systems engineer for your region, leading analysis, design, and troubleshooting efforts across multiple facility types.
• Perform advanced studies, including short-circuit, coordination, load flow, and arc flash analysis, to ensure safe and reliable system performance.
• Conduct power quality testing and field assessments, diagnosing and resolving real-world system issues.
• Design and enhance low- and medium-voltage distribution systems, including grounding, protection schemes, and system architecture.
• Work directly with clients to present findings, recommend solutions, and support decision-making.
• Utilize tools such as SKM, ETAP, Easypower, and AutoCAD to model and document system designs.
• Lead or support onsite engineering activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards (NFPA 70E, NEC, OSHA).
• Contribute to proposal development and project planning, supporting business growth and client engagement.

What You Bring

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 3–7 years of power systems experience in industrial or commercial environments.
• Hands-on experience with power system studies and electrical distribution design.
• Working knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NFPA, and NEC standards.
• Experience with power system analysis tools (SKM, ETAP, Easypower) and strong technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently, prioritize tasks, and work directly with clients.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT or PE license (or on track to obtain).
• Experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Familiarity with protection schemes, system modeling, and electrical layouts.
• Background in proposal development and client presentations.

This is a Permanent position based out of Concord, NC.

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
