Job Title: Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineer with 1–4 years of professional experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering and possess hands‑on experience designing plumbing and fire protection systems for a variety of building types.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop plumbing, mechanical, and fire protection systems for diverse project types.
- Conduct on-site inspections and evaluations to verify compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Perform calculations, modeling, and system simulations to ensure reliability, efficiency, and code compliance.
- Provide technical support throughout construction and commissioning phases.
- Stay informed on industry best practices, technologies, and advancements in mechanical and fire protection engineering.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–4 years of relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Plumbing & Fire Protection).
- Proven experience in plumbing and fire protection system design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MEP design tools.
- Strong understanding of applicable codes, design standards, and engineering principles.
Preferred Skills & Additional Qualifications
- Experience working on healthcare projects.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts.
- EIT or PE certification (or progress toward one).

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mineola, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr.
