Job Title: PLC Support Specialist

Location: New Carlisle, Indiana (Project site: South Bend, IN)

Type: Contract | Schedule: 50 hrs/week

Per Diem: Offered to candidates residing 50 miles from the site

Overview

Support capital projects by implementing control system solutions and improving client performance. Collaborate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate technician schedules and manpower forecasts
• Track commissioning constraints and deficiencies
• Integrate design/construction schedules with commissioning
• Provide schedule and quality reports
• Conduct system walkdowns and root cause analysis
• Train and manage supplier access to commissioning software
• Interface with engineering and client teams

Required Skills

• 2 years in I&C or Electrical commissioning/construction (Advanced Tech sector)
• Experience with Rockwell Automation, PLC5, Allen Bradley, Control Logix
• Familiarity with large capital projects and Design/Build environments
• Strong technical communication and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3 years with control systems in data centers or similar environments
• Proficient in control systems programming and configuration
• Experience with BMS/SCADA platforms and I/O checkouts
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

**** NO PROGRAMMING NEEDED**** Main responsibility is to troubleshoot the PLC after its been installed

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
