What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piping Designer position at Actalent?
Responsibilities
- Design mechanical and piping systems using 2D and 3D design tools.
- Develop piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings (GA), equipment plans, and piping orthographic and isometric drawings.
- Understand and implement the engineer’s design development process.
- Review and ensure accuracy of mechanical supplier documents.
- Coordinate mechanical/piping design activities with other discipline groups.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Plant 3D, and piping design.
- 8 years of experience in industrial piping design.
- Knowledge of energy systems, steam equipment, and gas compressors.
- Ability to physically route pipes and design pipe supports.
- Understanding of pressurized air, condensate, and BOP systems.
This is a Contract position based out of Mount Holly, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.07 - $62.50/hr.
