Job Title: Phlebotomist

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team at a patient service center. This role involves drawing blood using both straight needles and butterfly needles, particularly for challenging venipunctures. The position offers an opportunity for candidates who enjoy working in varied locations within the state.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws using straight needles and butterfly needles as required.
• Conduct phlebotomy procedures on pediatric and infant patients.
• Process and handle blood specimens following established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all blood draws and specimens.

• Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, including straight needle usage.
• At least 2 years of experience in drawing blood.
• Strong attention to detail and administrative skills.

• Experience with infant blood draws is a plus.
• Ability to handle pediatric patients effectively.

The work schedule includes Monday from 9 am to 6 pm, Tuesday to Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Rotating Saturdays are required at locations in Brentwood or Bay Shore from 7 am to 3:30 pm. The role does not involve holiday or vacation shifts, and it is ideal for individuals who enjoy travel within the state.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Babylon, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
