Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to deliver exceptional customer service and proficiently handle specimen collections. With potential for a permanent position, this role requires over two years of experience and involves managing a low volume of 10 specimens daily.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and serve as the face of the company.
- Perform skilled blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.
- Collect specimens for various tests, including drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests.
- Accurately perform data entry of patient information in a timely manner.
- Process billing information and collect payments when required.
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain logs for patient and specimen information.
- Undertake administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- Travel to additional sites when needed.
- Proficient in phlebotomy and blood draw techniques.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience with specimen collection and processing.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor.
The role involves routine lab work primarily with teens to geriatrics. The work environment gets busier in the afternoon and requires strong computer skills. The phlebotomist will work independently and manage a daily volume of 25-30 specimens. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:45 am to 4:45 pm. This position opens due to maternity leave and has the potential to transition from temporary to permanent.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
