Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated PSC Phlebotomist who will be responsible for drawing patients' blood and performing specimen processing in a clinic setting. The role involves the collection and receipt of biological specimens into the department, ensuring their proper entry into the computer system, preparing samples for analytical testing, and distributing them to the correct analytical area. The position includes responsibility for both pre and post aspects of analytical testing, as well as performing specified analytical testing as assigned. Adherence to the Code of Conduct is essential.
Responsibilities
- Draw and process patients' blood specimens in a clinic setting.
- Collect, receive, and properly enter biological specimens into the system.
- Prepare and distribute samples for analytical testing.
- Perform specified analytical testing.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills
- 1 or more years of prior phlebotomy experience required.
- Comfortable working in a team environment.
- GED or high school diploma required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in blood draw and specimen processing.
- Background in laboratory and patient care.
Work Environment
The position is located in Prescott, AZ. Work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7 AM to 4 PM. The phlebotomist will be part of a team within a PSC environment, collaborating with fellow phlebotomists. This opportunity offers room for growth with a career ladder available after six months, leading to a phleb tech 2 position and a pay increase. The organization values internal promotions for leadership roles.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prescott, AZ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
