Job Title: Phlebotomist - Over Night Shift 8pm-4:30am

Pay Rate: $16-20/Hr

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to obtain blood and nonblood specimens, such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs, for laboratory testing. The role involves performing screening tests, reporting results, and preparing specimens for laboratory testing and dispatch. This position offers a long-term opportunity within a growing hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood specimens through venipuncture and other methods.
• Collect nonblood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs.
• Perform and report results of screening tests.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing.
• Prepare specimens for dispatch to reference laboratories.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in phlebotomy, blood draw, and venipuncture.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred, or a minimum of 6 months of experience or clinical training.
• Experience in a hospital setting or clinical rotations for newly certified individuals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to handle an average of 35 blood draws per evening shift.
• Experience with arterial blood gases (ABGs) and rapid responses.

Work Environment

The position is based in a busy hospital lab setting, with shifts running from 12 PM to 8:30 PM. The role involves working rotating weekends with one consistent weekday off each week. The hospital is the only facility in the area with a burn unit, primarily serving adult patients with minimal pediatric cases. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Tulsa,OK.
