Job Title: Phlebotomist II (Part Time)
Job Description
The primary role of a Phlebotomist II is to efficiently perform blood draws and other specimen collections, troubleshoot issues, provide training, and recommend workflow improvements.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws using straight and butterfly needles and label specimens accurately.
- Centrifuge and store specimens according to established procedures and test orders.
- Explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures clearly and courteously to patients.
- Update patient information and record maintenance data accurately.
- Fully understand and execute physicians' orders for specimen collection.
- Match laboratory requisition forms with specimen tubes and check all test requisitions for accuracy.
- Package and store specimens at the required temperature for transport.
Essential Skills
- Phlebotomy experience with venipuncture and capillary blood collection for adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients.
- Proficiency in using needles, lancets, tourniquets, and blood collection tubes.
- Knowledge of the order of draw and specimen requirements.
- Accurate labeling, handling, and transporting of specimens.
- Customer service skills to interact effectively with patients.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Bethany, OK.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
