Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team and efficiently fill prescription requests in a high-volume automated refill setting. This role involves working under the supervision of a pharmacist to prepare, package, and distribute medications in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will maintain a consistent workflow to meet daily production goals and demonstrate acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manually fill prescription vials with prescribed tablets and capsules, ensuring accuracy in size and strength.
• Replenish medication in automated dispensing cells, scan barcodes, and enter expiration and lot information into the computer application.
• Complete weekly cycle counts and assist with inventory audits and discrepancy investigations.
• Prepare cold chain and specialty prescriptions, adhering to special handling and packing requirements.
• Assist with packing and shipping prescriptions, complying with HIPAA laws and pharmacy standard procedures.
• Demonstrate problem resolution skills and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance on automated cells, including disassembling, replacing parts, and conducting calibration audits.

Essential Skills

• One year of pharmacy retail or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of federal and state HIPAA laws.
• Skill in using Mini Parata Kalish cassettes is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent experience.
• CA Pharmacy Technician license required.
• PTCB National certification preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of West Sacramento, CA.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in West Sacramento,CA.
