Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our MedPharma team, focusing on Medicare and Medicaid patients, predominantly Medicare. The role involves working through Prior Authorizations to ensure patients receive the medications they need.
Responsibilities
- Handle the intake of MedPharm prior authorizations, setting up cases in the system, and forwarding them to the review team.
- Conduct Tech Reviews by evaluating PA cases to determine coverage eligibility, approving or denying medications based on clinical determinations.
- Read and understand criteria, SOPs, insurance documents, and medical documents to make informed decisions.
- Provide excellent customer service over the phone, managing calls, and effectively controlling and redirecting conversations as needed.

Work Environment
This position is 100% remote and requires a closed-door setting with limited distractions to maintain HIPAA compliance. Strong WiFi and the ability to work independently are necessary. Training is conducted Monday to Friday from 10 AM to 6:30 PM EST. Regular work hours are Tuesday to Saturday, with Tuesday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 9 PM EST, and Saturday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM EST. Lunch breaks range from 30 minutes to an hour. Holidays are rotated among team members.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
