Pharm Technician

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing finished prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. Your contributions will ensure the efficient and accurate filling of drug orders, maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently fill daily drug orders under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle or dispose of them according to procedures.
• Pre-pack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them as needed during low volume times.
• Manually package materials and products.
• Pull and pick medications from shelving and other storage areas, and prepare pre-pack racks.
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that does not scan properly.
• Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies as needed.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Work overtime, holidays, and weekends as required or expected.
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Active IL Pharmacy Technician License issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy.
• National Certified Pharmacy Technician certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Strong computer and data entry skills to maintain accuracy.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to work at a moderate speed and handle high volume orders.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

Work Environment

This position requires working Monday to Friday from 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with a weekend rotation from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Training will be provided for 3 weeks, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Extended hours may be necessary based on business needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Grange, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.84 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in La Grange,IL.
