Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – PM Shift

Shift & Schedule

• PM Shift: 5:30 PM – 2:00 AM
• Rotating Weekends: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
  
  

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations during the PM shift. This role is responsible for accurately preparing medications for final verification by a pharmacist while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Pick, label, scan, and prepare finished prescriptions for final pharmacist verification
• Pull medications from shelves and other storage areas, including prepack racks
• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy
• Notify the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that does not scan correctly
• Assist with processing returned medications and recycle or dispose of them according to established procedures
• Prepack frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods; label and store appropriately
• Package materials and products manually as needed
• Maintain clean and organized workstation areas and replenish necessary stock and supplies
• Comply with all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
• Adhere to departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

Minimum Qualifications (Required)

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work at a moderate speed in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Possess and maintain a clear, active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pharmacy technician experience

• Manual handling of medications and packaging materials
