Job Title: Pharmacy Technician – PM Shift

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations during the PM shift. This role is responsible for accurately preparing medications for final verification by a pharmacist while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Shift & Schedule
- PM Shift: 5:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- Rotating Weekends: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacy operations during the PM shift. This role is responsible for accurately preparing medications for final verification by a pharmacist while ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fill daily medication orders accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Pick, label, scan, and prepare finished prescriptions for final pharmacist verification
- Pull medications from shelves and other storage areas, including prepack racks
- Apply labels to blister cards and scan products to ensure accuracy
- Notify the pharmacist on duty of any medication or product that does not scan correctly
- Assist with processing returned medications and recycle or dispose of them according to established procedures
- Prepack frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods; label and store appropriately
- Package materials and products manually as needed
- Maintain clean and organized workstation areas and replenish necessary stock and supplies
- Comply with all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
- Adhere to departmental policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work at a moderate speed in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Possess and maintain a clear, active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License issued by the IL Board of Pharmacy
- Previous pharmacy technician experience
- Pharmacy floor environment
- Manual handling of medications and packaging materials
- Standing and repetitive tasks may be required
Salary : $19 - $21
