As a Patient Access Representative, you’re the welcoming face and voice of our healthcare team. You’ll guide patients through the registration process, ensure accurate information, and help create a smooth, stress-free experience from start to finish. This role is all about connection, accuracy, and care—making every patient feel supported while keeping operations running seamlessly.

What You’ll Do

• Greet patients and families, check them in and out for appointments.
• Answer calls, schedule visits, and resolve inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
• Assist patients with MyChart enrollment and navigation.
• Enter and verify demographic, insurance, and financial details for accurate registration.
• Communicate key updates to the care team and coordinate referrals and follow-ups.
• Contact insurance providers for coverage, pre-approvals, and billing questions.
• Collect copays, coinsurance, and prior balances.
• Manage EPIC work ques, worklists, and in-basket messages efficiently.
• Scan and organize documents promptly in EPIC.

What Makes You Great

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience (healthcare preferred).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced, hands-on role starting in the Emergency Department.
• Rotations across multiple locations in Lorain County (Elyria, Avon, Amherst).
• Expect to be on your feet most of the shift.
• 8.5-hour shifts, variable start times (5:00 am–11:00 am), Monday–Friday, plus rotating weekends.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elyria, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.25 - $18.25/hr.
