Job Description
The Ophthalmic Technician will be responsible for documenting physician visits in the EMR system, scribing for multiple physicians, and assisting with instruments as required. The role also includes conducting patient work-ups post-doctor visits and communicating with patients based on the documented plans provided by the doctors.

Essential Skills
- Experience in medical assisting and patient care.

- Data entry and healthcare experience.
- Typing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1 year of healthcare experience, ideally in a clinical setting.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a life science.
- 1 years of on-site scribing experience.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS
- Ability to multi-task and handle a high volume of patient care.
Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 6:30 AM and 6:00 PM, depending on clinic needs. Training will occur at the administrative building in the Galleria. The role involves working with a team of 8-24 individuals, supporting three clinics: The Woodlands, Kingwood, and Vintage Park. The primary location is The Woodlands, one of the busiest clinics in Houston. Employees will receive their schedules two weeks in advance. Occasionally, travel to other clinics may be required, with mileage reimbursement provided. The pace is extremely fast, seeing 80-100 patients a day. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs, short and groomed nails, and hair must be tied back.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Conroe, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
